Director of Platform Management

Job Summary

The Director of Platform Management is responsible for the operational ownership, reliability, and day-to-day management of Integris’ platform technologies and tooling ecosystem. This role ensures that approved platforms and tools are deployed, supported, and maintained effectively to meet business and service delivery needs while maintaining high availability and minimizing operational risk. Working closely with the VP of Technology and the Director of Platform Innovation, the Director of Platform Management executes approved platform roadmaps, operationalizes lifecycle decisions, and ensures platform technologies are delivered, supported, and governed consistently across the organization, with a focus on operational excellence, platform reliability, and scalable service management practices that support both internal teams and client-facing services.

Job Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Service Ownership

  • Own the operational health, availability, and performance of all approved platform technologies and tooling used across Integris.

  • Ensure supported platforms and tools have clearly defined ownership, escalation paths, and service standards.

  • Deliver reliable operational support for platform technologies used by internal teams and client-facing services.

  • Ensure continuity of service during platform changes, upgrades, or incidents while minimizing disruption and operational risk.

  • Implement monitoring, incident response, and operational support processes that ensure high platform reliability and service continuity.

Tooling Execution & Lifecycle Enablement

  • Execute platform and tooling roadmaps in partnership with the Director of Platform Innovation and other organizational stakeholders.

  • Plan and lead initiatives to deploy, consolidate, integrate, or retire tools based on approved platform lifecycle strategies.

  • Identify risks related to tooling sprawl, redundancy, or aging platforms and develop remediation or modernization plans.

  • Support the transition of newly developed or evaluated technologies from innovation and architecture phases into stable operational environments.

Governance, Standards, and Operational Quality

  • Establish and maintain operational standards, procedures, and best practices for platform technologies and tooling.

  • Ensure adherence to approved platform technologies and tooling standards across Integris teams.

  • Implement service management and quality assurance practices that support platform reliability, performance, and supportability.

  • Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and service procedures for all supported platform technologies.

People Leadership

  • Provide leadership and direction to managers and teams responsible for platform operations, administration, and support.

  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s technology platforms.

  • Collaborate with leadership to forecast staffing needs and ensure appropriate resource allocation to support platform operations.

  • Support employee development through coaching, performance management, and career growth opportunities.

Vendor, Budget, and Operational Resource Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and platform providers supporting Integris’ operational tooling ecosystem.

  • Review vendor contracts, services, and invoices to ensure alignment with operational requirements and cost-effectiveness.

  • Assist in forecasting and managing budgets related to platform operations, support, and lifecycle management.

  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure responsible management of platform investments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with training and enablement teams to ensure employees are equipped to effectively use supported platforms and tools.

  • Collaborate with technology, security, service delivery, and operations teams to ensure platforms meet organizational needs and operational requirements.

  • Support research and development initiatives by validating the operational feasibility and supportability of emerging technologies.

  • Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving platform reliability, scalability, usability, and operational maturity.

  • Stay informed on industry trends related to platform operations, service management, and tooling ecosystems to drive continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role focused on platform operations, tooling management, or technology service delivery.
  • Strong understanding of platform ecosystems, operational tooling, and service management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience executing tool deployments, consolidations, and retirements in complex environments.
  • Experience with budget management, vendor management, and technology procurement.
  • Proven ability to develop and enforce operational standards, procedures, and governance models.
  • Strong project management experience, including leading cross-functional teams and operational initiatives.
  • Track record of delivering high-availability services with a focus on reliability, user experience, and operational continuity.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CISSP) are a plus.
